This season I am loving all the autumn trends, especially the polo neck dress. I have styled a outfit incorporating this trend with a ox-blood theme featuring the must have product - a tartan scarf.

A/W is my favourite season for fashion, there is nothing like wrapping up warm with your favourite knitwear for the winter day ahead. The ox-blood theme is dominating fashion and beauty at the moment, which is one of my favourite colours and is so versatile to wear. 

This week I have chosen a lambswool polo-neck dress to be pair with black tights, burgundy accessories, converse and a tartan scarf. I always think a polo-neck is quite difficult to style because it can quite easily look old and dowdy but I love this look and will be investing in one in this year.

Moodboard Monday - Trend: High Street Culottes S/S14

Searching for the perfect pair of culottes is a chore in itself, they are either too wide, too tight or just plain unflattering. I gave up my search a few months ago until I recently stumbled upon these three. I do love the style of culottes, as I think it is an easy way to keep cool this summer whilst still looking chic. Once you have found the correct cut for your body type this item will easily become a wardrobe staple. So easy to style from day to night and they look amazing with high heels. My favourite pair is number 1. from Warehouse, definitely going to purchase them for summer.

Moodboard Monday - Trend: Folk S/S14

Folk art is inspiring clothing in a big way this season, from tile prints to heavy embroidery it is going to be everywhere. I absolutely love pom poms and patchwork, especially for the warmer months ahead. I always find most summer clothing a little bit boring because it usually lacks any interesting textures, so I am completely on board with this trend. The colour palette are perfect for summer and it is a refreshing change from all of the pastel tones. Topshop are definitely in the lead with this trend on the high street, they have a huge range of folk inspired pieces and I am a huge fan of there understated prints.

Moodboard Monday - Trend: Tropical Print S/S14

Tropical prints are one of my favourite trends for the summer. I love the bright colours, pattern combinations and print designs. I think the prints look great when they are clashing, especially if the sun is shining. Above are my top picks of the tropical print on the high street at the moment.
